I’m not a huge movie person. We watch the occasional movie at home (and Moana more times than I can count) but we never go to the theatres. If I WERE to go to a theatre though, it would be for Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian gem, and Deadpool a gift to the world. A bit to over the top? Maybe, but of all the superhero movies being thrown our way these days, Deadpool is hands down my favourite.
So what do you get when you mix a Canadian icon with a Canadian gem? You get the unlikely mix of Celine Dion on the Deadpool 2 soundtrack.
When I first played this, Clara immediately signed all done as soon as she saw that it wasn’t a Moana song, but after hearing a few lines of the dulcet tones from Celine, she was hooked and got mad at me when I tried to stop it. Really, who could blame her.
While Clara loved it for the music, I loved it for the Deadpool interaction at the end. And while I wouldn’t recommend watching Deadpool with your child, this song is family friendly. Enjoy this song, and look for Deadpool 2 coming out May 16.
