My Must Have Travel Items

We just spent a week in Cabo San Lucas with the kids. It was our first trip as a family of four and there were a lot of learnings. Overall it went amazing though and after posting some stories of our trip on Instagram I was inundated with questions about what things were a must have for travelling with kids. So below is my must have travel items for myself, Jane and the kids. As we head into summer travel season you’re going to want to include these things; spoiler the last one was the kids FAVOURITE by a mile.

Women reading in pool

This bathing suit was Jane’s favourite and was a fun bright pink.

Sun protection is no joke and Jane took it very seriously in Mexico. This shirt is UPF +50 and has a cool tag on the front that gets darker the more UV light you’re exposed to.

With your bathing suit and sun shirt covered, you of course need a visor to keep the sun out of your eyes. This was Jane’s visor of choice.

This pool floaty was the favourite amongst the kids and they spent hours swimming back and forth to the swim up bar to get 7up lol.

We brought sun hats of our own for our kids but ended up borrowing these ones from our friends because they had a draw string to put under the kids chin which helped keep the kids hats on when they were constantly jumping in and out of the pool.

These waterproof playing cards are perfect for gambling poolside with your friends on who buys the next round of drinks (at the all-inclusive resort lol).

Air tags are a must for your luggage because I don’t trust airlines for one second to not lose my luggage and at least this way when they tell me it’s on its way I can tell them that actually no it’s in Tel Aviv.

This pill organizer is great for travelling, but also honestly just for day-to-day life.

And finally, these were THE favourite toy at the resort. The kids made so many friends playing with these because all the kids wanted them. I feel like they will be the toy to have this summer. They have a magnetic seal that easily snaps together but is still squishy so that when you get hit by this water balloon it doesn’t hurt. I highly recommend these.

That’s it! Those are my must have travel items for your next family vacation. Did I miss anything? Let me know in the comments.
