Calgary Summer Camps

Summer is almost here, which means a need to get kids into summer camps as soon as possible. When putting together this list of summer camps in Calgary, I wanted to put together a diverse list that has a little something for everyone. So whether you’re looking for swimming lessons, outdoor camps, music lessons, or science opportunities there is something here for you and your kids.

This is not an exclusive list, BUT if there is a super awesome camp that you think NEEDS to be included, I’d love to hear about it! Drop me a comment or send me a message and I’ll put it up!

Butterfield Acres

Butterfield acres offers a number of camp options for kids 3-14. From half day options for younger kids to full day options, Butterfield camps are an authentic farm camp that leaves kids with memories, a love of animals, and many new friends.

Winsport

Winsport offers a number of awesome summer camps for kids aged 3-15. From Mountain Bike, sport and hockey camps to the new Wildwood Nature Camps and Adventure Bound camps, there’s something for every kid.

Pedalheads

Pedalheads have been encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle for kids since 1995. They have perfected the summer camp with fun and exciting lesson plans that have kids going from training wheel to trails in no time. They have six different biking levels to choose from including their new Pedalheads Mountain Biking programs.

Heritage Park

It’s no secret that Clara and I love Heritage Park. While she’s not yet old enough for their summer camps, I look forward to enrolling her in them in the future. Heritage Park offers summer camps for kids aged 6-14, including an overnight summer camp for kids 11-14. My only beef with their programs is that I didn’t do them as a kid.

School of Rock

As a musician, I’m insanely jealous that School of Rock is a thing now. These camps are for kids aged 6 and up from beginner too advanced. From Ukelele to Rock camps, kids will learn all they need to know, have a blast, make some friends and perform a final show.

Telus Spark

Telus spark has a TON of super cool summer camps for kids aged 5-12. With themes like Art, Gaming and freaking WIZARDING, how can you not get excited about these camps?

InjaNation

InjaNation offers great summer camps that are high-energy, creative and mentoring. For kids aged 5-14, InjaNation camps will burn your kids energy off while building their confidence in a safe and fun environment.

Cobbs Adventure Park

Cobbs Adventure Park offers full day camps for kids aged 6-14. These camps include all of Cobb’s attractions as well as camp games, science experiments and crafts.

Best Calgary Summer Camps

Camp Chestermere

Camp Chestermere is the true camp experience with summer programs for kids aged 5-18. At these camps they get to experience a variety of awesome activities such as power tubing, movie making, archery, gladiators, kayaking, canoeing and more.

Summit Summer

Summit Summer camps provide Calgary families with high-quality out-of-school time that gives kids a chance to grow with innovative, nurturing environments. They provide creative learning activities that include relevant technology, performing arts, and child-led activities.

STEM Summer Camps

For kids aged 6-17, STEM Learning Labs offers summer camps that look AWESOME. From Jr. Jedi Robotics and Robot Battles to Theme Park Engineering, these camps are fun and informative.

City of Calgary Summer Camps

The City of Calgary has a TON of camps for kids aged 3-17 (186 to be exact) that include everything including Golf, Sailing, Nature, Fire Bucket Brigade and more.

The best swimming lessons for your kids in calgary

Swim Kids Calgary

While not TECHNICALLY a summer camp, swimming lessons with Swim Kids Calgary are a great opportunity to get your kids in the pool 4-5 days a week. Not only are these lessons fun, but they could save your child’s life one day. Read all about our experience here.

Granary Road

Granary Road offers day camps for kids aged 5-12. Campers get to spend their time visiting the Park’s 11 different interactive exhibits, learning all about agriculture, and science that interacts in our world.

Trico Centre

Trico Centre has over 100 camps in 9 weeks. They offer a variety of genres for a variety of ages during the summer months, which include everything from Sports to Science, Art to Adventure, and a lot more! They have pretty much everything you could ask for, for kids from ages 3-14.

    INTRO TO IRISH DANCE SUMMER CAMP!

    For ages 5 and up!
    If you have never danced before and would like to give Irish dance a try, come join us for a weekend in August to learn the exciting sport and art form of Irish dance. At our two-day workshop you will do some crafts, see our older dancers perform and best of all, learn some Irish dance! This summer camp will be two fun filled days (3 hours each day) of dancing, games, and more surprise activities. The last day of camp will include a special performance by our campers. So come and have some summer fun with us!
