11 Awesome Calgary Instagram Accounts For Parents

Without a doubt Instagram is my favourite social media platform. I love the voyeur nature of looking into someones life and while yes, it’s usually filtered as they see fit, these 11 Calgary parenting Instagram accounts are my favourite because of how genuine they are.

Life With Benjamin

Calgary Dad, and Instagram guru David shares UNREAL photos on his account, Life With Benjamin. How he only has sixteen thousand followers is beyond me. Creative content like this should be well into the hundred thousands! In addition to his awesome Instagram feed, you can also find him on his blog.

DadCAMP

In addition to being half of the morning show duo on XL 103, Buzz Bishop also runs DadCAMP where he gives his unique perspective on being a dad to his two sons. The DadCAMP insta feed chronicles their life as well as products and services they use.

Lemons For Days

While Jasmin’s feed is definitely geared more towards women, I’m in awe of the photos her and her husband post and inspired be the way she’s kicking ass and taking names. Instead of the usual blog inspiring the insta feed, her Instagram feed has inspired her blog which you can check out here.

Milkstains & Meltdowns

I just recently discovered Jessyka and I’m a big fan of her Instagram. She speaks candidly about being a mom and her mental health struggles. As I’ve written about before, the conversation around mental health needs to grow and Jessyka and her feed are helping to do that. You can also find her at her blog Milkstains & Meltdowns.

Kait Kucy

This single-mom shares adorable pictures of her son Jack, classic architecture, and record shopping trips all sprinkled with a dash of whimsy. If that’s not something you can get on board with, I’m not sure we can be friends. Kait is also co-founder of Next Big Thing and an amazing local writer. If you’ve ever read Avenue Magazine you’ve likely read one of her pieces. You can check out more about her here.

Move Play Mom

As founder and co-owner of AKIDEMY Preschool, Dina’s feed focuses on child development, but also her personal experience living as a minimalist, a mom of a blended family, and parenting tips. As one of the best Calgary parenting Instagram accounts, Dina is one of those people that inspires you to get up and get moving, or get that project started and honestly who doesn’t need a little bit more of that in their life. Off-road Discovery

This family account showcases their love of the outdoors in ways that completely intimidate me just to look at. From camping trips in their Land Rover with rooftop tent, to epic ski trips this account will have you wanting to get outside immediately. Simply Love

Jane and I are lucky enough to call Ann and her husband friends and while that might make me biased, there’s no denying that Ann is knocking it out of the park on her insta account. Simply Love’s insta feed focuses on clothing (nice enough to be featured by Jillian Harris) but also on Ann’s infertility journey and her advocacy. You can check out her store here.

Brittany Kolba

Brittany wears many hats as the founder of Hoola Life, a social media manager for accounts like Calgary’s Child Magazine, a student, a wife and a mom (and I’m sure many other things). Her account is very genuine and, having met her in person, I can confirm she’s as nice in person as she appears to be on her account.

Neil Zeller

Neil is best known for his AMAZING pictures from around Alberta and beyond. His shots of the Peace Bridge adorn many spaces throughout Calgary. His journey following the CP Rail Holiday Train and Northern Lights is always entertaining to watch and if you’re looking to up your photography game this Calgary dad offers classes filled with pure positivity.

Arnold Henry

This former Division 1 basketball player turned children’s book author and motivational speaker shares motivational posts, and insights into his beautiful family. Originally from the Caribbean, Arnold now calls Calgary home. You can check out more about him, including his upcoming book, here.

Dashing Dad

And while I won’t be so bold as to add myself to this list, I couldn’t make a post about Calgary parenting Instagram accounts without mentioning that you should, of course, follow yours truly on Instagram! I post pictures of our adventures around town and in the mountains, as well as stories that sometimes feature shocking polls like this one.
